What we commit to, and what to do when we get something wrong.

Independence

Commercial relationships do not influence the order of the board, the content of a review or whether a criticism is published. The board sorts on recorded approval time. An operator cannot purchase a position, and no operator has ever been given advance sight of a page about them.

Commission determines which operators we are able to list, and that is disclosed on every page and in full on the advertising disclosure.

Accuracy

• Figures we measured ourselves are labelled as recorded and attributed to the person who ran the test.
• Figures taken from an operator's terms are labelled as such and dated.
• Where we have not tested something, the page says so rather than estimating.
• Offers, caps and wagering are checked at the last updated date shown on the page.

Corrections

Write to editor@signpost-online.co.uk. If something is wrong we change it, and the last updated date moves so you can tell. If a recorded time is disputed we retest rather than debate it, and the retested figure stands whichever way it goes.

We do not quietly delete pages that turn out to be wrong. A page whose conclusion has changed gets the new conclusion and a line saying what changed.

What This Site Does Not Do

We do not give gambling advice, we are not licensed advisors of any kind, and nothing here is a recommendation to gamble. We publish payout measurements for people who have already decided to play. If that decision is not one you are comfortable with, the responsible gambling page is the more useful one.
